Things To Do
Pete chose Hilton Head Island because it is one of his favorite places to visit, and he wants to share that experience with you as well.
Places To See
Nature And Historic Sites
Links are underlined
On the bridge in to the island. Tons of great trails for walking or biking, and some beautiful scenery. Tons of wildlife, from birds to alligators.
An old civil-war era earthen fort near the airport. Doesn't take too much time to explore, but it is interesting!
Nice trails and labelled foliage with plenty of benches and a pond.
A must do if you like nature. Lakes, swamps, trails, and a Native American Shell Ring. Expect to see some gators, lizards, tons of birds, and plenty of other wildlife.
Ruins of a former plantation within the Sea Pines Resort. Some historical signs. A good stop on the Sea Pines part of the Island, and a short trail.
A fun if gimmicky lighthouse with good views, located in Harbor Town. Also has a giftshop, and is surrounded by the beautiful marina, as well as food and shopping.
Daufuskie Tours
A short boat ride to Daufuskie and exploring the island on a golf cart can be a lot of fun. There is no bridge to the island, which is mostly nature, rich people, and some neat historic sites, including the Haig Point Lighthouse
Boat Tours
Be it a sunset tour, a dolphin tour, or just around the island, it is a fun way to experience the area. Numerous options!
I haven't actually made it here, but it looks quite nice to at least explore the grounds!
